about the book

“The Best Wedding Gift Ever” was written as a coffee table book that should be read multiple times throughout the marital years. Most specifically, this book would be most beneficial during the first year of marriage while life patterns are being established, and the emotions of love and affection remain high.

Its objective is to provide sound functional ideas with everyday suggestions to help make marriages a lifetime event. It was by no means designed as an in-depth or formal instructional manual but rather a photo album filled with “snapshots of ideas” found in successful marriages. There are plenty of other “how-to” publications that fulfill the need with more specific details.

This simple-to-read publication was also designed to be shared and enjoyed as a supplement in pre-marital counseling or by marriage counselors as an initial step in helping a derailed couple get back on track.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY….The Best Wedding Gift Ever was written, To help newlywed couples maximize their marital potential by offering simple teachings to help minimize their chances for separation/divorce and strengthen their existing relationship.

And if by the grace of God, only ONE MARRIAGE is saved from the writing and publication of this book, then all my efforts would have been worth it!  May God bless you on your path toward marital bliss.

Our Satisfied Readers

“Dr. Ewert knows the happiness of marriage at its highest peak, as well as the dark sadness of divorce. He has used these real-life experiences, along with his biblical knowledge as a bible teacher to guide young couples through the ups and downs of marriage.

Rev. Alan Hicks (Lead Pastor) Just Jesus Community Church

"Eric's written a book that is fun to digest and to share with a spouse, or even an engaged partner. I like the fact that each part is broken into a one-page section that can be read easily and shared just as easily. There are practical pieces of wisdom that are guided by the Holy Spirit, and he breaks up the sections nicely with images that prepare readers for the next marriage tip. Those who want their marriages empowered by Christ's Holy Spirit will find the encouragement they need as they flip through its pages."

Rev. Dr. William J. Watson Pastor - United Baptist Church Duke Divinity School, D.Min. ('21) Campbell University Divinity School, M.Div. ('07) Wake Forest University, BA ('98)

“This is a thoughtful approach to new couples navigating life together.”
